Print no border brings together a critical essay and a series of woodblock prints exploring the meaning of borders and frontiers. Starting from the European crossborder area between Italy, Slovenia and Austria, the book reflects on cartography, language, and cultural plurality while questioning how boundaries are drawn and perceived. Alongside the text, 27 mokuhanga woodblock prints form a visual atlas where geographical lines intersect with natural and human traces, creating layered narratives of space and difference.

Laura Bortoloni
Laura Bortoloni is a visual communication designer, educator and printmaker based in Rovigo, Italy. She founded Ida Studio — an award-winning design practice — and is adjunct lecturer in design at the University of Ferrara. Alongside her studio work, she explores mokuhanga and other printmaking techniques, exhibiting internationally. -
Antonella Riem
Antonella Riem is Full Professor of English Literature, Pro-Vice Chancellor International, Director of the Department of Languages and Literatures, Communication, Education and Society (DILL), President of the Italian Conference of Foreign Literatures, President of Anda (Italian Association of Anglistics), Editor-in-chief of the online A ranked journal Le Simplegadi, founder of the Partnership Studies Group (PSG), the international research network based at the University of Udine. She has more than one hundred international publications on the Literatures in English.
